Alarm Response is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. SD Mobile Patrol Guards respond quickly to your alarm. SD can be your key holder when you or your call-outs are not available. In the event of an alarm, we will arrive at your business with the appropriate emergency service, disarm the alarm and conduct a complete inspection of the business and area. While there, SD Mobile Patrol Guards assess the cause of the alarm whether it be plumbing, electrical, heating, fire intrusion, etc. and contact the designated call-out(s).
Mobile Patrol Guards will not leave the premises until it has been verified and secured. The cost to have your staff respond to an alarm is likely substantially higher than our rates. Never again send yourself or a staff member into a potentially dangerous situation.
By retaining the services of Southwestern Defence, you eliminate both health and safety, workplace safety, and insurance board issues for your employees should one of them be injured while responding to an alarm call. Should a Uniformed Security Guard be required, Southwestern Defence can provide this service upon request. We will provide a Mobile Occurrence Report for any incidents that may occur while on patrol.
Our patrol cars are equipped with electronic reporting and can communicate their findings instantly. Dispatched uniformed Guards are licensed under the Ministry of Community Safety & Correctional Services. Fully insured including general liability and personal injury insurance in the amount of $5 million.
Mobile Patrol
Mobile Patrol units are typically marked security vehicles operated by fully-equipped security personnel. These vehicles have long-range radiocommunications capability. With each unit having an in-car computer for reporting and ticketing and emergency roadside / medical kits. Marked patrol vehicles also come with a “prison-cage” in the rear passenger area. All of our patrol vehicles are ex-police or ex-emergency-services vehicles which are safety certified and inspected daily for mechanical issues. Equipped with a full set of amber / white strobe lights and loud-speakers, to aid in warning others of emergencies and hazards, or to signify their presence to the general public.
We utilize these patrol vehicles for assignments, other than Alarm Response alone. Assignments such as: Spot-Checks, Crowd / Access Control, and Mobile Support. Spot-Checks: many companies or individuals have properties, businesses, and events they want checked on for any signs of perpetrators or general concerns of safety, damage, crime, et cetera. Our marked / unmarked security vehicles, will check on various client properties at randomized intervals as per client request. These typically come in the form of weekly / daily / hourly / multiple instances per 24 hours, spot-checks. Our Patrol Agents have a list of potential issues to inspect as well as a list of standard spot-check procedures. Crowd / Access Control: when hosting a large event, which may be open to the public, as well as serving alcohol – it is important to have screening procedures and access control. At times, it can be difficult to handle a large crowd of people, so having a marked patrol vehicle can help in directing traffic flow and searching for unauthorized visitors. Mobile Support: there are times wherein we have Security Agents deployed to assignments on their own, and may be in need of assistance at times. There are also times, when an emergency occurs at a site, which may involve the Emergency Services. Our Patrol Agents are dispatched to any emergency which may or may not require Emergency Services. They are there to provide assistance in traffic / crowd control and to create a secure perimeter around the scene, to prevent further incident(s) from occurring.
