The world’s economy can be impacted by a pandemic. As part of the financial infrastructure, James Special Services has created this plan to help ensure that we can continue to provide services to our customers, and therefore help to limit the effect of the outbreak on the economy and society. Then, the purpose of this plan is to outline the measures being advised within James Special Services on preventing the spread of Covid-19, also referred to as the Coronavirus 2019 and 2019-nCov.
This plan also helps us to protect the health and safety of our employees including those on leave. This plan requires to be maintain constantly updated. A pandemic is a global disease outbreak that can spread easily and cause serious illness worldwide. In the event of a pandemic, we will likely experience employee absences, changes in patterns of commerce and interrupted supply and delivery schedules.
In the event of this disease continuing to spread it is very likely that we will see the need to manage suspected cases, we will have increased absence through an impact on manpower, the potential to suffer disruptions to our supply chains and we could see increased cancellations or difficulty in the movement of individuals, either by road, rail or air. This plan applies to James Special Services operations but does not supercede any government or health organisation advice, e.g. WHO guidance and advice.
